How to get notified when a new item is listed on Vinted
How to get notified when someone uploads on Vinted: saved searches, following sellers, and free alerts on Discord, Telegram or your phone, compared.
There are three ways to get notified when a new item is listed on Vinted: save the search in the Vinted app, follow the sellers you like, or use an alert tool that checks your search and messages you. The first two are built in and free but limited. The third is the only one that works reliably for a search, and it can be free too.
Here's how each one works, step by step, and when to use which.
Option A: a saved search in the Vinted app
This is the built-in way, and it's worth setting up even if you use something else, because it keeps your search one tap away.
- Search for what you want in the app or on the website.
- Add your filters: category, size, brand, condition, colour, price.
- Tap the button to save the search, just above the results.
- In the app, go to your profile, Settings, Notifications, and make sure notifications for new items and saved searches are on.
- On your phone, allow notifications for Vinted and take it out of any battery saving or notification summary.
The catch: plenty of users report getting these notifications late, in batches, or not at all, even with everything switched on. Vinted's price filter also works on the asking price, not the price you pay with buyer protection. If yours have gone quiet, our guide on saved search notifications not working walks through every setting and the 2026 changes to saved searches.
Option B: follow a seller
If the things you want come from a handful of sellers (a vintage shop that lists every Sunday, a parent who sells your child's size, a collector clearing out), follow them. Open their profile and tap Follow. Vinted notifies you when they upload, and users generally find these notifications more dependable than saved-search alerts.
It only covers people you already know about, though. It won't help you find the next good seller.
Option C: an alert tool that checks your search
An alert tool, often called a Vinted bot or monitor, loads your search's newest results on a schedule and sends you anything it hasn't seen before. You decide where the messages go: a Discord channel, a Telegram chat, a push notification on your phone, email.
Paid services do this from their own servers for roughly €5 to €30 a month (as of October 2026). vinted-bot does it for free from your own computer. Setting it up looks like this:
- Install it with the one-line command from the homepage. The dashboard opens in your browser.
- Paste your Vinted search link, or build the search in the dashboard with Vinted's categories, brands and sizes.
- Set the price limit as the total you'll pay (buyer protection included), plus any words a title must have or must not have.
- Pick where alerts go. ntfy on your phone takes a minute and needs no account. Discord and Telegram have their own guides: Discord, Telegram.
- Press Send test, check it arrives, and you're done.
Each alert shows the photos, the total price, size, condition, brand, the seller's rating and buttons to buy, message the seller or open the listing. The first check of a new search stays quiet, so you only hear about listings that appear after you added it.
Which one should you use?
| Saved search (Vinted) | Follow a seller | Free alert tool (vinted-bot) | Paid alert service | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cost | Free | Free | Free | About €5 to €30 a month |
| Reliability | Often late or missing | Generally fine | Checks every minute, tells you if it stops | Depends on the service |
| Price filter includes fees | No | Not applicable | Yes | Varies |
| Words to exclude | No | No | Yes | Varies |
| Needs a computer left on | No | No | Yes | No |
| Needs your Vinted login | Yes (it's in your account) | Yes | No | Not for alerts |
Roughly: follow the sellers you trust, keep the saved search for browsing, and put the searches you really care about into an alert tool. If you have nothing that stays switched on and don't want to install anything, a paid service is the fair choice. We compare both sides in free vs paid Vinted bots.
Getting more out of your alerts
Write the search for alerts, not browsing
A search you browse can be broad, because you skim. A search that pings your phone should be tight. Include your size, the condition you'll accept and a realistic total price. If you get alerts you don't want, add the word that keeps showing up to the "skip" list rather than switching the search off.
Use "this or that" instead of five searches
"Levi's 501 or 505" can be one search: in vinted-bot, a required word can have alternatives, written 501|505. Fewer searches means fewer requests to Vinted and less chance of being slowed down.
Cover more than one country
Each Vinted country site shows a slightly different mix of sellers. One search in vinted-bot can watch several sites, and a listing seen on two of them is only announced once.
Set quiet hours
If an alert at 3am isn't worth waking up for, quiet hours hold alerts until morning, send them without sound, or drop them. You choose per search.
Why no alert is instant
Vinted adds new uploads to its search a few minutes late. Every alert, Vinted's own and every third-party tool, can only fire after that. A tool advertising "zero delay" is measuring from the moment the listing showed up in search, not from the upload. For collectors, size hunters and anyone hunting something specific, a few minutes is fine. For underpriced electronics that resellers race for, it often isn't, and why you're never first on Vinted explains what helps.
Questions
How do I get notifications when someone uploads on Vinted?
For one seller, follow them and Vinted notifies you when they upload. For a search, save it in the app, but those alerts are often late or missing. For dependable alerts, use an external tool such as vinted-bot, which checks your search every minute and messages you.
Can I get Vinted alerts by email?
Vinted doesn't offer saved-search emails you can count on. vinted-bot can send alerts by email through its optional Apprise add-on, but most people find Discord, Telegram or a phone notification quicker.
Is there a Vinted alert app?
There are paid alert apps, typically a few euros a month. A free alternative is to run vinted-bot on a computer and receive its alerts in the free ntfy app on your phone, with no account needed.
How fast are Vinted alerts?
Vinted adds listings to its search a few minutes after upload, so any alert, official or not, comes after that. vinted-bot checks every minute by default, so you typically hear within a few minutes of a listing going up.
